Welcome to ICAAR - 2024

The International Conference on Advanced Agricultural Research at Sylhet Agricultural University  is an agriculture oriented  multidisciplinary conference aims to be a forum for  exchange of knowledge, ideas and perspectives  for scientists from academic and  research communities, practitioners, policy makers, trade and industries from home and abroad  on topics related to agriculture.

Bangladesh has made tremendous success in crop, fisheries, livestock  production. However, there are burgeoning challenges due to climate change and natural disasters, pollution and resources degradation, urbanization and land use change, also globalization such as the economic consequences and disruptions to food supply and agricultural inputs, linked to global conflicts. Unless addressed, these threats are likely to  lead to decreased agricultural  production resulting in food insecurity and malnutrition, and abject poverty. Agricultural science also holds immense potential for humankind. As smart  technologies evolve, the field offers huge opportunities to solve problems on both local and  global scale.

Considering these issues, the aim of this conference is to find out potential, feasible, implementable and cross-cutting knowledge of smart agricultural technology to tackle emerging, complex challenges towards resilience of food systems. We invite you to participate in the first International Conference on Advanced Agricultural Research  2024 in  Sylhet: Land of Two leaves and a Bud.
